What is Wing nut?

Wing nuts are fasteners with a butterfly-shaped structure with two wings.  Based on the manufacturing process, they can be divided into three types: cold-forged, cast, and stamped.

Key Characteristics

▪ Hand-Operated: Designed for quick installation and removal by hand.

▪ "Wings": The large, flat tabs (wings) provide leverage for finger tightening.

▪ Materials: Available in carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum

Applications: 

On equipment that requires frequent disassembly and maintenance.

 Found on machinery, electronic equipment, lighting, musical instruments (like drum kits), furniture, and construction.
